Jennie T. Garren, 101, a life-long resident of West Peoria, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at home.
She was born in Dodgeville, IA on January 12, 1909, the daughter of Wilhelm F.C. and Gretje G. (Schmidt) Willems. She married Earl C. Garren on October 28, 1930 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1971 in Peoria.
Jennie is survived by her daughters, Jean and Vivian C. Garren, both of West Peoria.
She was a homemaker, formerly attended Senior World and was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed traveling, needlework, sewing, gardening, crossword puzzles and reading.
Private services will be held for the family, with interment in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria.
